New Car Park for Independent Living Resdients!
Works began on the 28th of July, builder Jo Bunnik and his crew started to clear and prepare the area to be sealed. Maintenence team member, Andrew Borg, has been hard at work relocating the irrigation system before the gravel arrives to be compacted into the area. We hope to have the hot mix ready to go by the 15th of July.
Next step, the hot mix.
It's not quite time for the hotmix, the builders have to cement a border around the area first before the hot mix can be laid.

Longridge held its third complimentary forum for
Limestone Coast residents to attend on May 25th, 2016.
The focus of the day was to highlight that all financial circumstances need to be planned well ahead, so that when the time comes to source home services or aged care, each person knew what their options were.
Representatives from the Centrelink Financial Information Service spoke on retirement and housing options, followed by McInerney Barratt Finanical Planners, with Mark McInerney presenting "The Costs of Aged Care", while also making himself available for free private consultations afterwards. Ken Solly spoke on retirement, succession and estate planning while James Norcock gave a short presentation on legal planning, Power of Attorney and Advance Care Directives.
Overall a very successful day, with the feedback from the event demonstrating the need for community understanding of the complex, and often avoided area of knowledge. We hoped that with this information-giving format that people could secure some skills to assist their decision making.
Longridge would like to thank all of our guest speakers who offered their time and expertise free of charge, as well as the Naracoorte Lucindale Council, who donated the use of the town hall.
The Maintenance team and our Volunteer Gardener, Carol Richens, have been hard at work revamping the hill by the staff car park on Pavy Drive.
Whilst the plants are still only small and fresh into the ground, it is still nice to see this area with a fresh new look.
